Ryan Shakes says he is taking some time off from making videos so that he can make his health a priority.

The tiktoker shared the news on his Instagram last week in November, the same day that he was in the hospital for a severe allergic reaction from chronic hives.

“I had a very bad allergic reaction to my own sweat,“ he said. “About 4 months of dealing with this rare condition called Cholinergic Urticaria, elevated temperature will break out in uncontrollable hives head to toe, it’s been happening everyday.”

“I can no longer do everyday normal stuff on my own, because it’s debilitating, and no doctor currently has answers why,” he explained. “This has been one the many hardest tests of my life, but i’m gonna take some time away, and focus on my health, Love you guys!”

It has been a busy year of projects for the personality who recently went to Japan to help promote the release of Nintendo’s ‘Everybody 1-2-Switch!’ video game, in addition to also working with Sony Pictures taking part in the Dumb Money – GameStop Story Movie’s social media marketing campaign. And signing with talent agency Viral Nation.

Ryan has also been reconstructing his whole entire brand ShakeyFam. With some soon to be released line of valuables set to drop by the end of next year.

Once he hopefully gets better, the tiktoker said he plans to “start taking on acting jobs and trying to level up in that. I don’t even know what leveling up really is like in that field though. But, it is been a calling of mine for a really long time now, and i’ll see what it takes.”
