A teenage boy has died after being struck by a truck as he stepped off his school bus.
The 13-year-old boy had just got off the bus in Appin, in Sydney’s southwest, at 3.30pm on Wednesday last week when he was hit at.
Paramedics treated the boy, who had a fractured skull, at the scene before taking him to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition.
There, he was placed in an induced coma but later died.
NSW Police today confirmed the news.
The 38-year-old man behind the wheel of the truck was uninjured and underwent mandatory testing at Cambelltown Hospital.
Investigations into the incident have continued.
